Portugal with kids
DescriptionOur summer holiday 2016 was spent in beautiful Portugal with kids. We had the first week in an apartment in SolTroia on the eastern beach of Troia peninsula. It was a faboulous week with peace and quiet and beautiful views. We had the pool and the beach to ourselves and we really enjoyed the spacious apartment, that we had rented using Allure Villas http://www.allure-villas.com/allure/ Staying on the eastside of Troia the beach is almost deserted. The water is quiet and there are no sunchairs or parasols, just pure beach. On the westside of Troia the beach is much wider and full of people, it is windy and the water is colder with waves. Our todler loved the beach on the westside, while our small daughter aged 1,5 loved the beach on the eastside. During our stay in Troia, we visited Setubal with catamaran ferry from Troia Marina. The kids loved the ferry and it was only a 20 minute ride, before we arrived in Setubal. The old town of Setubal is really charming with is wide spaces and narrow winding streets. The kids appriciated the playground close to the ferry port. The following weeks we spent in an apartment at Orada Turistico Marina de Albufeira, that we rented using AirBnb. We enjoyed to explore Albufeira, Faro and a waterpark and we visited all the local beaches in our area. You can read more on the travelblog about our holiday in Portugal. Portugal is great with kids and we wil definitely be back!
